Down Island 2003

In the Virgins, "Down Island"  usually references the Grenadines, Trinidad/ Tobago area where many of the yachts go from July - October to avoid hurricanes, as they rarely occur that far south.  
Several yachts offer special charter segments when they make this passage, which is a much different experience than sailing the Virgins.  Listed below are some of the yacht's specials.

 

Ursa Minor
Beginning as early as July 1st, they will provide an all-inclusive charter for 2 or 3 guests for 10 nights at their regular rate for 7 nights.  Of course, they are also open to charters of other lengths.  Their goal is to work their way down to their hurricane home in Trinidad by September.  They would like to schedule these 10-day charters by approximate locations as follows:

  St. Lucia to Grenada

These dates and locations are approximate.  They can be as flexible as the guests need, distance and weather permitting.  They hope to minimize passage making time and concentrate on exploring the uniqueness of each of the islands they visit.
